Simple Pleasures

I'm trying to get back into regular blogging again and not just about my makes so I thought I would share our simple pleasures moment on Bank Holiday Monday.

It's easy to forget

when you are caught up in everyday life

the simple pleasures

and sometimes

you just need to sit down

and make daisy chains

for no other reason than

- it's a fun thing to do.

  1. Those were the days, just sitting down & making daisy chains, or daisy snakes as the boys used to say.!

  3. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving your comment. Indeed you so need to sometimes just sit down and make daisy chains - even at my age I do it occasionally and the other day I noticed a man with a little girl toddling along and he was showing her the daisies and I did so want to stop and show her how to make a daisy chain but I didn't and now I wonder why!

  4. Aw - love the daisy chains! Simple pleasures are what have got me through some rubbish times - just making time to go and eat a picnic in the (often wet and windy) countryside saved my soul more than once, I think. Fab pictures! :) x

  11. Completely agree... today we have wrapping twigs and sticks with wool as our 'rainy afternoon sanity keeper' for the same reason. They are just fun to make and look pretty. Lovely photos of your wee guy and the daisy chains.
I too am trying to get back into blogging properly. It's always nice to see your posts pop up in my blog list :)

  13. Hi Tracy thanks for popping by my blog. I am just discovering the delights of an overlocker and am so impressed I am now saving for a coverstitch machine. I'm sure I still have a lot to learn though. Love your photos, so nice to see little ones enjoying old fashioned pleasures.
