Hello 2016

Happy New Year to you all, I made this on PicMonkey this morning and it seems that today really is Page 1 of 365

I haven't made any new years resolutions but I think I would like to do this

and this seems achievable

or this

Rachel bought me this notebook Christmas 2014 and I couldn't bring myself to use, which is really silly I know, so this will be my project record book.

I'm going to write when I start a project and when I finish it. Hopefully that way I won't have tooooo many WIP's left by the end of the year!
I'm looking forward to seeing what 2016 has in store, how about you?

  1. Happy New Year Tracy.

I'm doing a similar thing with the memory jar - one of my friends did it last year and we had a lovely evening as she read through, and talked about, all the happy memories she'd saved in the jar. Good luck with the project notebook, and all the other things you are considering.

  2. I've started a 7 year 'Best Bit Book' where I write one line about the 'best bit' of each day. I'll have to do a post about it. By 2020 I should have a full notebook about the best bits of my life.

  3. I like the jar one, think I might do it to remind me of my year when it draws to an end. And the lists are certainly something I need to try and maintain in my life xxx Bring it on is what I say to 2016 :) xxx

  4. Happy New Year! Love the jar idea - I'm going to try saving coinage too. The ultimate list is cool with the exception of clean more - ha! My resolution is to get the kids to clean more - not me!

  5. I am going to do the jar. I don't like using pretty notebooks, I have a few so perhaps I should....

    1. I think the jar idea will be lovely, although I’m going to be using an app on my phone as my jar, one less thing to dust!

I’m terrible at keeping pretty notebooks and not using them but they shouldn’t be hidden away in a drawer either!

Just think of all the wonderful things you could write in your pretty notebooks xx

    1. Happy New Year Maria,

I have an app on my phone which I going to use as my jar, not as pretty as a jar but it does mean I can update it when I’m out and about.

Lol! Exploring pinterest sounds like a good idea, especially if the weather is awful!

Great minds think alike I’m hoping to get some projects started and finished and will be ticking them off in my notebook.

I wish that the New Year turns out to be a very special one for you filling each day with peak of health, abundance of happiness and sunshine, bountiful luxury and prosperity. Sorry that I've been out of action, hopefully this year I will get my stamina back. Here's a toast to 2016 ;)

  9. I have also received a pretty notebook for Christmas - I'm going to use it to record the books I read during 2016. All your ideas look do-able, but I'm always dubious (knowing what I'm like) about making too many decisions to "better" myself!

    1. That sounds like a good idea for your pretty notebook, much better to use it than for it to sit in a drawer.

I’m going to take things slowly with the “bettering myself” as I know exactly what you mean,

I thought the monthly changes would be easier to achieve as hopefully a new habit has been formed before moving onto the next change.

  10. Love the jar idea... going to give that a go if I can find a jar, if not I'll do the same but in one of my myriad pretty notebooks that I keep meaning to actually use!
